On a whim, I found a copy of Teikoku Yousei's Shijun no Zankoku. It's the opening theme for Venus Versus Virus, which I know absolutely nothing about (sure there's lots of info on it on Google/whatever though).

I dunno, it's a nice enough song, but it feels like it's trying to sound just like Yuki Kajiura/FictionJunction YUUKA. Not saying that's a bad thing, I like Yuki Kajiura and FJ YUUKA.... but it seems to me that if I wanted to listen to something that sounded like Yuki Kajiura I would listen to Yuki Kajiura. It's a little like Stargazer ~ Hoshi no Tobira ~ by Negishi Satori, with the violin in the background and everything, but at least Stargazer sounded somewhat more original. (BTW, I highly recommend Stargazer ~ Hoshi no Tobira ~.)

So, Shijun no Zankoku is a good song, if not the most original.... Ah well.

In other news, there is now a third bird residing on the premises. Currently nameless. Any suggestions for a sixth-month-old cockatiel? He's very quiet compared to the other birds.
